Ferryscanner is an online search and booking engine that helps people find affordable ferry tickets to exciting destinations all over the world. Since 2018, we have been working to simplify the ferry booking process offering ferry tickets for more than 300 destinations in 25 countries. We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our legal team. In this role, you will ensure that Ferryscanner operates within the law while supporting business growth. You will provide strategic legal guidance, manage corporate and commercial matters, and help limit risk exposure across the company’s operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support on a broad range of issues

  • Manage legal processes, litigation, and business transactions

  • Identify and analyze legal risks and implications for the business

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts and legal documentation

  • Analyze legal issues relating to new and existing products

  • Represent Ferryscanner before administrative boards and in court

  • Liaise with external legal counsel and specialized advisors

  • Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and developments

  • Handle ad hoc legal assignments as needed

Job requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in private practice and/or in-house (excluding the 18-month traineeship)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law

  • Strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law

  • Strong knowledge of tax law

  • Proficiency in English (working level)

  • Postgraduate studies in corporate or tax law are a plus
