As a fast-growing international travel tech company, Ferryscanner is seeking a Financial Analyst with strong technical skills and a sharp analytical mindset. In this role, you’ll be at the center of turning financial and operational data into insights that shape strategy and improve performance. You’ll leverage SQL, Excel, and BI tools to analyze performance, create financial models, and deliver reporting that supports our growth. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure that financial data is accurate, meaningful, and always driving smarter business outcomes.
Responsibilities
Collect and validate financial and operational data from different sources
Create and maintain regular and ad-hoc performance reports
Build financial and operational models to assess initiatives, forecast revenue, and support planning
Track and analyze key metrics such as P&L, cash flow, ROI, and budget vs. actuals
Perform deep-dive analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Work with other teams to design dashboards and improve reporting tools
Turn data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership
Support budgeting and forecasting with data-driven analysis and scenario modeling
Help analyze and forecast cash flow, sharing regular updates with leadership
Prepare monthly performance summaries with variance analysis
Partner with Accounting during month-end closings to ensure accurate reporting
Job requirements
Required qualifications, skills & knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (MSc is a plus)
Min 5 years of experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A, or data-focused role (ideally in tech, travel, or e-commerce)
Strong SQL skills with proven experience in extracting data from DB (SQL, MySQL)
Strong coding skills with proven experience in analyzing data using Python or R. Ability to analyze complex and big data sets, develop models & reports, and deliver actionable insights
Solid knowledge of BI tools (Tableau or Power BI or Qlikview)
Advanced skills in Excel (Formulas, Pivots, Macros, VBA)
