Are you skilled in crafting compelling content? Do you have a flair for writing that engages readers and inspires them to explore the world? If so, Ferryscanner is looking for a talented Content Specialist to join our dynamic team.


As an Content Specialist at Ferryscanner, you will be responsible for producing compelling and informative content for our website, blog posts, newsletters, social media, and various marketing materials. Your words will play a crucial role in inspiring and guiding our audience to discover their ideal ferry journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging and persuasive copy for Ferryscanner's website, blog, newsletters, social media, and other marketing channels.

  • Research ferry destinations, routes, and related travel topics to generate unique and relevant content.

  • Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to develop content strategies that align with our brand voice and objectives; also collaborate with other departments of the company, such as Product Development and Customer Success, for content related issues.

  • Write clear and concise product descriptions, landing page copy, and promotional materials.

  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to drive organic traffic and improve search rankings.

  • Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

  • Coordinate projects with content creators and influencers to produce unique and engaging content.

  • Utilize video editing tools to create engaging content for social media channels like Tiktok, Instagram Stories, etc.

  • Design marketing materials using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms to support content efforts across channels.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, travel news, and ferry-related developments to provide up-to-date and valuable information to our audience.

Job requirements

Qualifications and key competencies

  • Native Greek speaker with excellent writing and editing skills; excellent knowledge of English.

  • 3 years of proven experience as a copywriter, content creator, or similar role, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.

  • A portfolio of previous work demonstrating your ability to craft compelling content.

  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.

  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), for example WordPress.

  • Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms is considered a plus.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

  • A keen eye for detail and exceptional proofreading and editing abilities.

  • Creativity and strong research skills.

  • Collaborative spirit.

  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
