To support our growth, we are looking for a highly skilled Accounting Team Lead to strengthen our Finance team and help drive process improvements, compliance, and financial accuracy across our international operations.
As Accounting Team Lead, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing workflows, and supporting the preparation of consolidated IFRS financials. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance and transparency in all accounting operations.
Responsibilities
Lead process and systems enhancements to automate workflows, improve efficiency and ensure integrity of financial data.
Perform complex accounting and reporting tasks across legal entities.
Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Oversee and optimize core accounting activities across key business areas, e.g. ferry ticketing and payment provider cycles, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping and reporting across legal entities.
Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory, tax and regulatory requirements for one of our entities working closely with external advisors.
Support the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP where applicable.
Support the budgeting process, forecasting, and financial analysis providing insight from an accounting perspective.
Mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning, operational excellence, accountability and collaboration.
Job requirements
Required qualifications, skills & knowledge
7+ years of in-house/corporate accounting experience, with Big 4 experience considered a plus
Background in international environments, ideally within a tech or scale-up context
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g. ACCA or equivalent) is a plus
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and financial reporting
Proven track record of driving operational efficiency is a plus
High proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (knowledge of the SoftOne ERP system is a plus)
Prior experience in leading and developing a team, with strong stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English
